Tottenham Hotspur defender Clement Lenglet has admitted that his side looked disorganised during Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa. Spurs have struggled since the Premier League resumed on Boxing Day, drawing 2-2 with Brentford before falling to Villa on New Year’s Day thanks to goals from Emiliano Buendia and Douglas Luiz. Now, experienced centre-back Lenglet has voiced his frustrations ahead of Wednesday’s clash against Crystal Palace

Clement Lenglet said: “It was not the way we wanted to start the New Year. Very early in the second half we conceded quickly and the way we played was a little bit disorganised in the second half. It was too difficult to come back and it’s not a good start to the year and we hope to do well in three days. If I knew why, I would tell my team. We have to change something. We train and work a lot in the week, but we are in a bad dynamic, and it’s difficult when you concede an opportunity and they score. After, we have to push more to score, to win or to draw. We have to find the right solution. We need to stay calm and find the right solution. We have to be professional to understand the game and to be better.”
