David Moyes has suggested that West Ham United duo Vladimir Coufal and Michail Antonio could become good managers in the future. Moyes also reckons that Hammers midfielders Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek could also move into management.
David Moyes said: “If I get this wrong you’ll go back to this years later. Strangely enough I think Vladimir Coufal might be one. I see someone who loves the game, works at it and is desperate to be better at it himself. He probably would like to stay in football. I could see Vladimir Coufal doing it and maybe Tomas Soucek. Declan Rice, maybe. Michail Antonio as well. I think he might have other things in mind, but he’s someone who is well-versed in the lower leagues, the Premier League and with Jamaica, so you never know.”
Among the other questions Moyes was asked was whether Wayne Rooney was the best player he had ever managed, to which he said yes, with the West Ham boss heaping praise on the ability of the former Everton and Manchester United striker. He also said he hopes his best moment as a manager is yet to come, with the West Ham boss targeting cup glory in the future.
