Oleksandr Zinchenko has refused to predict how the Premier League title race will finish with Arsenal fighting his former side Manchester City at the top of the table. Zinchenko is currently following the World Cup 2022 off the field and is hopeful that all 10 of the Gunners’ representatives at the tournament return fully fit with a big second half of the season to come. In an exclusive interview with VBET News,
Oleksander Zinchenko said: “I support my Arsenal guys and wish them only success and no injuries. I won’t name the winner because a lot of my friends play there.”
After a strong start to the season, the 25-year-old missed a number of games through injury before returning to the matchday squad before the World Cup break.
Oleksander Zinchenko continued: “I was happy to return to the field, as I have been struggling with discomfort for the last two months. Thank you very much to the Arsenal medical staff.”
Arsenal will remain top of the Premier League table at Christmas after having dropped just five points so far this season in the English top-flight. The Gunners head into the break five points clear of reigning champions Man City, but Zinchenko refuses to get carried away. Having already qualified for the Europa League knockout rounds after winning Group A and looking strong in the Premier League,
Oleksander Zinchenko said: “We don’t look that far, because there are a lot of games ahead of us, the Premier League is so good that any team can beat anyone here, so we need to go game to game, and then we’ll see where we end up. I hope that all the guys who perform at the World Cup will return to the squad healthy. There will be a very busy schedule, so everyone needs to be healthy. We will do our best and even more to please our fans from game to game.”
After 14 games in the Premier League, Arsenal are now considered as City’s closest competition but Zinchenko refused to give an answer on how the season might finish for the Gunners. Speaking on the title race,
Oleksander Zinchenko said: “It is difficult to answer this question since the table is currently very tight.”
