James Justin admits that complacency may have contributed to Leicester City’s defensive collapse against Tottenham Hotspur – but has vowed to hit back against Nottingham Forest. Speaking after the game, Justin has admitted that complacency may have crept in in the second half, laying blame on individual defensive mistakes. The defender also praised the team’s attackers for their performances.
James Justin said: “They’re a team with quality and in the end I feel we got a little complacent with a few individual mistakes, including myself, we got caught on the counter and that’s what the top sides do to you. It’s something we’ve got to be better at, keeping it tight at the back. The forward players are doing more than enough for us to win games, we need to come together as a group and keep going and keep staying together to get clean sheets.”
City are back in action after the international break when they take on Nottingham Forest at the King Power Stadium. The full-back said that memories of last season’s FA Cup defeat, as well as the current form will serve as extra motivation for the squad ahead of the match.
James Justin added: “Especially with what happened last year and how we’ve started this year, it’s a massive match for us and we’re looking to get three points.”
