Former Tottenham, Aston Villa Sunderland striker Darrent Bent believes that Southampton should not stand in the way of Che Adams and should let him go to Leeds if there is a chance. The championship side was keen to bring Adams up north in January but Ralph Hasenhuttl was not interested in it. Adams has played 27 times for the south coast club without scoring a goal.
Darren Bent said “It’s a sad one because I really like Che Adams, I’ve been a big fan of his but for whatever reason, it’s just not happened for him. Unfortunately, it’s just one of those things where it hasn’t worked. For me, I would like to see him go somewhere like Leeds and play – I would have liked to see him work out at Southampton but if not, then maybe go somewhere else.”
