The left-back, who was on loan at Palace, struck the ball first time from close to the halfway line as it bounced towards him from Joe Murphy’s clearance, looping it over the despairing dive of the goalkeeper for his only goal for Palace.
Darren Ambrose vs Aston Villa – February 14, 2010
In an FA Cup fifth round tie, Palace were awarded a free kick some 35 yards out, with Ambrose stepping up and firing past Brad Friedel with a superb strike that arced away from the USA keeper into the corner of the net.

Jordan Ayew vs West Ham – December 26, 2019
With time running out and the game seemingly heading towards a 1-1 draw, Ayew was passed the ball on the right wing by Connor Wickham. He cut inside across the edge of the box, spinning away from Declan Rice, before skipping past two defenders and deftly chipping the ball over Roberto to give the Eagles the victory.
