Allan has backed Richarlison to carry on scoring but admits he only sees the colour of the shirt not the face of a friend when it comes to the Brazilians playing against Everton for Liverpool in the Merseyside Derby. y with crucial Premier League points at stake.
Allan said: “All the Brazilians in the area do have a great relationship as friends. Of course, we play together for the national team and we know each other. But when it comes to a match, I don’t see the face of a friend. I see the colour of the shirt. They are not friends at that moment, they are an opponent – and I have my job to do. I have to fight for my team, I have to fight for my family and my daily bread, and my team-mates. No part of the friendship goes onto the pitch. It is put to one side and it doesn’t matter who they are. I just fight for the shirt. We do have a great relationship, all of us but there’s no-one in particular (who he’s closer to among the Brazilians at Liverpool).
