Conor Gallagher is not yet considering where his future lies come the summer as he enters the final seven matches remaining of his Crystal Palace spell. The Chelsea midfielder has enjoyed an outstanding season on loan at Selhurst Park, recording eight goals and five assists as well as earning his first start for the senior England side.
Conor Gallagher said: “I want to play well, help the team, hopefully score a couple more goals and hopefully just finish as strong as possible. I am literally just focusing on the end of the season. There’s a few games left and that’s the most important thing right now. I am not thinking about Chelsea yet, I am just thinking about Palace and the end of the season.”
The Eagles ace was disappointed to be unable to feature in the penultimate round of the competition but had praise for Palace boss Vieira and the impact he has had over the course of the season.
Conor Gallagher said: “To be honest, he just said we made the club proud. We have done well to be here. We could have done better. It is such a game of small details, if we go 1-0 up then it is a different game but it wasn’t meant to be so we will dust ourselves down and go again next Wednesday. You’ve got to give a lot of credit to the manager he’s done a great job. He’s got us playing great football and the club is a family club, it feels like that a lot since I’ve come here. He was a top player, I’ve learned a lot from him, he’s been amazing with me and given me a lot of confidence.”
