Sum up that performance?
The performance, especially in the first half, Leicester were the better team. I think they started the game with better intention. The pressing was really high, and it was impossible for us to play. We didn’t play quick enough. We didn’t play forward enough. We didn’t take enough risks to find our midfield three. In the first half, we didn’t compete well enough. They were the better team, they were more aggressive. And then in the second half, we started quite well. And we were better at the tempo that we put in our game. We created a couple of situations and chances but it was too much for us to climb.
Disappointing to concede the second goal on the verge of HT?
That was difficult to concede that second goal before halftime. But I think that goal reflects how we played a little bit. The way we started in the first half. Yes, they had a really good game, they make it really difficult for us. But I think we didn’t ask them too many questions. We make it very difficult for ourselves, we take too many risks. And at the end it wasn’t a good performance from us overall.
Eze and McArthur input?
I was really pleased because I think they bought more passes forward. They brought a little bit more tempo. That allowed us to create a couple of more situations and chances.
Tyrick Mitchell OK?
He felt something on his calf. So we do not want, of course, to take any, any risk. And that’s why we make a decision just to take him off. But we’d have to wait tomorrow to see how bad it is.
Will Hughes not in the squad?
He picked up a knock.
Not getting too high after Arsenal and not too low after today?
We are not too low. We weren’t too high against Arsenal so it’s important to find consistency game after game which will allow us to be better and win matches We’ve come a long way since the first game of the season and we’re in a better place but there’s still a lot to learn. That will come with time. It’s experience – players playing together and putting the standard higher about what we want to achieve every week. When you build a team you have to go through those periods. It’s important for us to be consistent emotionally. There are a lot of details to improve but they will come with time.
Balancing act making changes?
If I make those changes, and we lost the game, I think the question will be why did you make the changes when you win football matches. I want to be consistent on what I’m trying to do and those players who perform again against us know did really well. And they were all feeling good. But as well, we have to go through those processes for me to understand the demand of players to produce week after week
Will Wilf take the next penalty?
Yes. It’s the same way we are performing. I think he missed the penalty. But we just looking at the last one. If you look at his record on penalties, it’s been really good. And it’s like the team performance. I will not change Wilfred because he missed today as he is our penalty taker, and if there is one in the next game, he will be the one taking it.
Did the Tyrick Mitchell substitute changes tactics?
We conceded the goal a couple of minutes after so of course, it’s losing this kind of momentum for us to find the right balance. But it was difficult. It is not the best for Ward to come as a left-back knowing that he used to have these kinds of references and on the right-hand side, but I think he came and he did his best and he had a good performance. And, you know, for somebody who didn’t play so long, you will need time to get into the rhythm of the games.
