Cash has signed a new five-year deal that will extend his stay with Villa until 2027. The former Nottingham Forest player has started every game for Villa and has only missed 36 minutes of Premier League action for Steven Gerrard’s side this season.
Matty Cash said: “I’m delighted. It’s another proud day for me and my family. It’s another step in the right direction, and I just want to keep progressing every day, working hard and getting better. A big thanks to the club for rewarding me with a new contract, I can’t thank them enough. It feels like home. I love coming to Bodymoor every day and working hard. I’ve only been here a couple of years, but time has gone so fast. I’ve only had a season playing in front of the fans. “I love it here; I feel at home here and coming into training every day is great.”
