Jack Harrison says Leeds United must be “grateful for any points” in their battle stay in the Premier League. The Whites were good value for their first-half lead against Southampton but James Ward-Prowse’s second-half set piece ensured a share of the spoils. Leeds created a hatful of chances in the second half and will feel aggrieved to have not taken all three points. Nonetheless, the result sees Jesse Marsch’s side extend their unbeaten run, having taken seven points from a possible nine.
Jack Harrison said: “At this point we have to be grateful for any points. I think we were definitely hoping for three and I think maybe we deserved three. We created some chances in the second half, and the first half as well and I felt like at times we were quite dominant. But they are a tough side to play against, they have got a lot of talent as well and they worked us really hard. It was a tough match and I think a point is probably fair.”
