Manchester City defender Kyle Walker believes that Pep Guardiola still hasn’t forgiven him for his red card in the final Champions League group stage defeat to RB Leipzig. Asked if Guardiola had forgiven him for the sending-off,
Kyle Walker said: “I don’t think so no, I love him to bits but I don’t think so. It was stupid from me, I know it was a rush of blood and frustration, I don’t know on my levels or expectations of myself. As a team I didn’t think we were playing too well, we was getting counter-attacked a lot on that game, they were making big runs through the centre and Kevin de Bruyne. I had to stop counter-attacks, when I’m running back all the time and trying to do it, it’s hard. It’s much easier running forward easier, although I tend to run backwards a lot quicker than forwards. I was frustrated, it was stupid from me and I could’ve cost the team something spectacular, the lads took care of business against Sporting. Luckily, I’ve got one more game to serve and I’m back for that.”
