Leicester City have “two of the best offensive players in the league” in Youri Tielemans and James Maddison, Brentford boss Thomas Frank believes.
Thomas Frank said: “We know it is going to be difficult. They have maybe not hit the highest level this season compared to the last two seasons where they were fighting for Champions League football and playing unbelievable football – but they are still a top team who, on their day, can beat all the top-six teams. Earlier this season we put a good performance in and definitely deserved a point, if not more. They had that quality from Tielemans and a transition where we needed to do 100 per cent better. With Tielemans and Maddison, they have two of the best offensive players in the league.”
Brentford’s goal in the last game between the two came from a corner, and City’s weakness at corners has not gone unnoticed by Frank, who says it is something they look to exploit going into every fixture.
Thomas Frank added: “It is no secret we like to focus on set-pieces. I am aware that Leicester have conceded some goals, but I am also certain that Brendan Rodgers, his staff, and the players will do everything they can to avoid conceding, so that can be a battle in the game.”
