An important point or a missed opportunity to get all three?
I’m a positive man, so I will look at this as a good point. I’m also eager and want to do and have more and I said earlier that if there was a winner, it should have been us 100%. What I liked is that the consistency and the performances continued, so again solid performance and giving very little away so I think that’s a positive.
First clean sheet since November 28 – how much of a confidence boost would that have been?
Massive. We finally got over the line with a clean sheet! I think for example, Wolves was a clean sheet performance as well. As crazy as it sounds against City, it was close to being a clean sheet performance; two big individual mistakes. It was very nice to get it and it was also very nice to see David [Raya] performing well again; he’s a big part of getting the team to a high level.
Both sides created a lot of chances but lacked that cutting touch today – how much do you think your side displayed today?
I actually agree with you on Mathias Jensen; I think he played a good game and looks strong in there. Of course, we would have loved to have had our top goal scorer out there on the pitch, but Bryan [Mbeumo] and Wissa are good strikers and can score goals, but I would have loved to have Ivan on the pitch.
How pivotal was Christian Norgaard today?
I think Christian played a strong game. He is an extremely important player for us because he is good on the ball, he can play the right passes to open up opponents in terms of especially the build-ups and his ability to win the duels and tackles in the middle of the pitch, is second to none. I also think he has one of the most tackles in the league and his leadership, so that makes him a very important player.
What’s changed from a defensive point of view especially from corners?
A few tweaks and extra awareness in those situations.
