MANAGER Ralph Hasenhuttl believes goalscorer Che Adams is becoming a complete forward player for his side, as he added to his tally at Manchester United. Asked whether Adams is becoming the complete forward player for him,
Ralph Hasenhuttl said: “Yeah, because this (tracking back) is what you have to do in our team. This is the reason why you sometimes lacking a little bit of freshness in front of the goal. But he has learned to work hard for the team and to score goals now. This is what you have to do particularly in modern football, otherwise it’s not working. For us as a club, it takes a little bit of time when you have to learn this but I think he has shown he can do this and the average of scoring is fantastic.”
Adams has formed a threatening strike partnership alongside Chelsea loanee Armando Broja in recent weeks. The pair have both started the past three Premier League games for Saints, in which they have drawn with Manchester City and United, in between a 3-2 victory over Tottenham.
Ralph Hasenhuttl added: “I must say, up front they work for each other and I have a feeling it gets better and better connected, which is good to see.”
