Bruno Lage has confirmed Francisco Trincao has returned to training with Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of Thursday’s crunch clash with Arsenal. Portuguese winger Trincao missed Saturday’s defeat to Norwich City in the FA Cup after testing positive for Covid-19. The Wolves boss also revealed South Korean forward Hwang Hee-chan has returned to training.
Bruno Lage said: “(Trincao, Hwang and Saiss) are already training with us. Let’s see what happens tomorrow. It’s an important moment. We need to play against strong teams and we need to do everything to win the points for this club. We are in a good position, we are in a good moment and we are pushing hard to continue in this way.”
Hwang hasn’t featured since December 15 due to a hamstring injury and Lage previously suggested the 26-year-old would miss this week’s double-header with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur. On Hwang,
Bruno Lage added: “Let’s see. We have one more session tomorrow morning. He has done two or three sessions with the team. He feels OK, but in this situation we need to go day by day.”
Hwang is Wolves’ joint top goal scorer this season with four goals in 14 Premier League appearances.
