Harrison scored his first senior hat-trick to help the Whites to a 3-2 win against West Ham, becoming the first Leeds player to net a treble since Bamford in a 3-0 success at Aston Villa in October 2020. Nevertheless, the former Manchester City winger has explained his relationship with Bamford and claimed that the duo spoke about the hat-tricks they’ve both scored.
Jack Harrison said: “He’s a funny guy. He’s confident and distills that throughout his training, he’s a funny character who likes to joke around with everyone. He’s supportive as well and he came to me and congratulated me after my hat-trick. We talked about when he scored his hat-trick as well, so he’s a great teammate to have, a very confident boy. As a striker, I feel like you’re going to get that anyway. He scores a lot of goals and has that to back it up.”
Leeds will be looking to make it three successive victories when they face the Magpies at Elland Road on Saturday. When asked about whether he will net another treble,
Jack Harrison replied: “I would love to get one! As I always say, I want to do the best for the team and if I get a hat-trick that would be amazing. I can’t guarantee it unfortunately, but I’ll be trying.”
