Wolves boss Bruno Lage gave an update on the situation of Traore last week and confirmed the club had received no offers for the former Barcelona man, despite interest from Tottenham. When asked if there had been offers for Traore,
Bruno Lage said: “No. For now, I know nothing. About Adama, the only thing I can say, it’s the same Adama since the first day. Every time training well, being the good professional he is. He is here with us, wants to play for us and always works hard. If you look at the 19 or 20 games we have had, he has started at least half of the games. When he hasn’t been in the first XI, he jumped from the bench to help the team. I am very happy with the four wingers I have. They can give me a lot of things.”
Lage did accept, however, that we could see Traore away from Wolves before the end of the month.
Bruno Lage said: “In my mind, yes, nothing changes. But this is football. The club has talked with Adama before, he has one year left on his contract, and I need to understand that. It’s not just about Adama, if it’s good for the club and the player, we need to find a solution. For now, I want to keep the four wingers I have.”
