Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage says he is more than happy to take Cristiano Ronaldo off of Manchester United’s hands.
Bruno Lage joked: “If they are not happy with him, I have a place for him here. But I know they are happy with him.”
Ronaldo’s compatibility with interim boss Ralf Rangnick’s tactical approach was brought into question following the 1-1 draw with Newcastle United last week. The number seven rebounded from that disappointment to score in the 3-1 win over Burnley, and the Wolves boss says Ronaldo is still a “machine” that every team would want in their ranks.
Bruno Lage added: “When you look for a player the most important thing is to see what he can give to your team. When you have a player like him who can score goals, it is hard to believe he is 36. He has been at this level since he was very young. He is a machine, he wants to score, to score, to score. He is a massive player, I think any team in the world would want a player like him.”
Lage will be hoping to stop Ronaldo when his Wolves side travel to Old Trafford on Monday night to take on Manchester United in the Premier League.
