Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel says his team and himself are up for the challenge as a mid-season blip threatens to completely de-rail their Premier League title challenge.
Thomas Tuchel said: “Oh it’s been challenging, a lot going on I have to admit but we are also here for the challenge. It is never that there is nothing, also in times where it seems like everything is cruising, you have to be aware but things are easier if you have results, the noise is not so loud, the distractions are not so heavy if you have better results. The challenging thing about this is it is not only about tactics, the game, and solutions defensively and offensively, it is some heavy influences around us that we cannot control and still make our lives a bit more complicated than we want it to be. In high level sports, these things can feel like you are running against the wind all the time. Yes it is challenging but nothing we don’t like. As a manager, you face these days where you might be more upset with the situation and things don’t feel so easy, it is normal, but we are still good to go because we love what we do.”
