Ben Chilwell was full of praise for Romelu Lukaku after the Chelsea striker helped his side secure a much-needed win against Aston Villa. Lukaku, 28, didn’t start the game in the West Midlands as Thomas Tuchel believed that he didn’t have the ability to complete the full 90 minutes. In the aftermath of the win, the limelight was rightfully on Lukaku and the currently-injured Chilwell was full of praise with his own three-word verdict to his teammate’s second half masterclass.
Ben Chillwell said: ‘Cant stop rom!’
Romelu Lukaku said: “I think I needed a performance like this today. It’s been difficult like you know getting the end of the game. Every footballer wants to be on the pitch. The manager has his reasons but I kept working hard. It’s a good win and personally for me I’m happy with my performance and now we push on.”
