Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford feared he had suffered a recurrence of the ankle injury when he made a return to training last week.Ā Bamford has missed Leedsā last nine matches in all competitions but is now close to getting back into the fold after he was filmed back out on the grass with the ball earlier this week.Ā But his return to training wasnāt with a scare, though, as he believed that he had aggravated his injury last week when he was taking part in some high-intensity training.
Patrick Bamford said: āActually really good to be fair.Ā Last week, I hurt my ankle again but it wasnāt bad. I twisted it doing full-speed stuff outside and [the medical team] thought Iād redone the injury but the ligament has pretty much healed.Ā I tried on Saturday with the anaesthetic doing full [training] outside and it was fine.ā
