Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves has slammed the decision Mike Dean made in not blowing up for a foul moments before Manchester United scored the only goal of the game in controversial circumstances.
Ruben Neves said: “Everyone saw it, everyone saw my leg. I don’t know why we always have meeting about VAR, I don’t know why, they said at the start of the season they will look for contact and if the contact is strong enough they’ll give a foul. I showed them my leg just their decision now. Maybe because last game against Southampton it was a foul, maybe, the opposite. I’m not here to talk about the ref, I showed him my leg showed it to the assistant ref, I can’t say anything more. It’s their decision.
Asked if he had delayed going down after Pogba’s tackle,
Ruben Neves replied: “Of course, I asked the ref why he did it, I delayed because I didn’t know where the ball was and if it’s there. I need to react then I saw the ball go away so I went to ground so I said to the ref after the game, he said you both go to the ball but I was the one who touched the ball. We both went to the ball, I touched the ball, he touched my leg, it’s a clear foul. Nothing more to say.”
