Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has spent big this summer, splashing more than £200million as they aim to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City in the Premier League. Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Malang Sarr, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Edouard Mendy have all arrived and Lampard will be looking to get some names off the books before the window closes. Two men who have been linked with departures from Stamford Bridge are Rudiger and Bakayoko. The Chelsea boss was asked about the future of Rudiger and Jorginho in his pro-West Bromwich Albion press conference but kept his cards close to his chest.
Frank Lampard said “I don’t expect anything in the window, because they are our players and that’s a fact, There are lots of rumours about those players and others too, so every player would always be a case-by-case situation and one that would be a happy solution for the player, for myself and the club. Yes we have a big squad, we know that, but at the moment the players remain ours and we’ll see how things go as the time goes on.”
