Aston Villa Fans
Aston Villa is gearing up for a significant transformation with extensive expansion and modernization projects at both Villa Park and Bodymoor Heath. The club is undertaking these developments to accommodate its growing fanbase and enhance its facilities, aiming to position itself as a leading football club both nationally and internationally. This ambitious plan includes increasing the stadium’s capacity, improving training facilities, and creating a new fan experience zone.
Chris Heck said: “The North Stand project is something that we are working on right now, for today and the future. We used to have old offices here, but we have moved them out to create room for more restroom facilities. There will also be a new kitchen space, which never existed before. We have listened to the concerns of fans and what their needs are in the North Stand. We are not only going to have 100 per cent new seats for the entire facility, but also expanded bathrooms in the Holte End, for men and women. The kiosks will be more functional and in larger spaces. At the Holte End in particular, but throughout the entire building. We are in a renaissance period at Villa Park. This is something which goes well beyond the branding of Aston Villa. This is a place which is truly one of the iconic buildings across the United Kingdom. We are achieving these goals at record pace. As a matter of fact, we think that we are on pace to achieve all of these goals by the end of next year and one year short of expectations. This is a proud time to be a Villan. We have done something on the pitch which is unprecedented. Now, off the pitch, we are catching up into the golden age of Aston Villa football.”
The redevelopment of Villa Park is a key component of Aston Villa’s strategy to enhance its infrastructure. The club plans to expand the stadium’s capacity to over 50,000 by the end of 2027, focusing on modernizing the existing North Stand without reducing seating during the season. This £100 million investment reflects the club’s commitment to minimizing disruption for fans while ensuring a state-of-the-art facility.
In addition to the stadium expansion, improvements at Bodymoor Heath are underway to upgrade the training ground. The new center will feature 40 bedrooms for players and staff, improved facilities for women’s and youth teams, and a dedicated office space for administrative and media staff. These enhancements aim to maintain the club’s competitive edge and support its status on both national and international stages.
Aston Villa is also celebrating its 150th anniversary with the unveiling of a new statue at Villa Park. The statue of a lion, located behind the North Stand, symbolizes the club’s rich history and future aspirations. This addition marks one of the final elements of the club’s anniversary celebrations, serving as a lasting legacy at the stadium.
The club’s expansion efforts extend beyond the stadium and training ground. Villa’s new megastore in Birmingham’s Bullring shopping center is set to open soon, offering a wide range of merchandise in collaboration with adidas. Meanwhile, The Warehouse, a new fan experience zone at Villa Park, will transform into the Premier League’s largest beer hall on matchdays, providing a vibrant atmosphere for fans.
These developments underscore Aston Villa’s ambition to enhance its facilities and fan experience, ensuring the club remains at the forefront of English football.
