‘We were punished’ Fabian Hurzeler disappointed following 2-2 last minute draw at the Amex with Wolves

The Seagulls played out a 2-2 draw, with Albion taking control after their second goal but failing to secure the win.

Despite impressive spells of possession and solid defence, missed opportunities and a lack of ruthlessness late on allowed Wolves to equalise.

Albion had a chance to score a decisive third goal but were unable to capitalise, leaving head coach Huerzeler frustrated with the result.

“In the end, of course we lost two points, and we failed today in our development,” the Albion head coach said.

“We were not mature enough, not professional to in this game. We have to learn quickly from this.

“Games like this, if you don’t win in the beautiful way, then you have to win in the ugly way.

“Until the second goal from us, we controlled the game and we defended quite well, and we became too passive.

“But we were not ruthless enough in defending the set-pieces, we had a big chance to go for a third goal that we missed this, and we were punished.

“We were not acting professional and we need to learn from this.

“This team is very young with a lot of potential but exactly these moments show if you stay now together, if you learn from it, if you show personality, if you show character, and that is what I expect from them.”

Albion will need to regroup quickly and learn from their mistakes as they aim to get back to winning ways.
