West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has spoken about his concerns and displeasure about Premier Leagueās Project Restart plans and has hinted that the concerns and opinions of the players do not count as much. Cresswellās statement comes after a number of players like Danny Rose, Glenn Murray and Troy Deeney spoke out against restarting football in England.
Aaron Cresswell said: āI think itās been made pretty clear players opinions donāt count for much along with the head medical officer of fifa? Itās been 10 weeks since we last played to try get a poll to see weāre [sic] players stand? The most important thing is everyoneās health and well-Ābeing. Football can wait. Iāve got a five-week-old baby daughter and, Iāll be honest, Iām petrified. āThere has been a lot of talk about how quick we can get football back. But the focus should be on peopleās health and staying indoors. Of course, weāre all missing it ā but there is a whole bigger picture. We canāt rush back just because people say we must finish the season.ā
