Lampard on Richarlison
“The group love him and his mobility and aggression is a great thing. There is a lot more to come from him.”
Lampard on Richarlison after his goalscoring heroics
“With Richy I think and I know that he understands what my feelings about him are. I think he is a fantastic, huge talent, with a work ethic which is the reason why Everton fans are so drawn to him. The way he fights – he is a really tough boy – and some of that is due to his make-up and upbringing. It is a pleasure to work with him.”
Lampard on making Richarlison better
“My point with him – where my job is – is to try and focus in on how we can make him better. Because I think there is more to come. You see glimpses of it all the time. Of course he wants to score more goals on a regular basis. It is all there for him. You forget how young he is because he has been in England for quite a while. The reality is he is playing at a really high level and is a huge focal point of the team. He is a massive reference for the fans. We need him in similar form for the rest of the season.”
Ancelotti on Richarlison
“Richarlison is a modern striker, a complete striker, because he works really hard. His physical statistics are really high, like a midfielder – but he has speed and he is really clinical in the box. He is fantastic with the head and clinical in front of the goalkeeper and his movement without the ball is really good. I think he can be one of the top strikers in Europe. I’m sure he can because he has all these kind of qualities and he doesn’t have a specific position on the pitch. He is really complete. Where he has to improve is with his technical ability, and he can improve with controlling the ball and this and that but his movement without the ball is really top and his positioning in the box is of a high standard. His level will go up in the Champions League [if we qualify]. It would be a fantastic experience.”
