Jose Mourinho has claimed progress during his first eight months at Spurs has been severely disrupted by injuries. After a bright start to his reign the New White Hart Lane, Tottenham’s form has suffered massively and they have only won two of their last 11 matches and are now struggling to finish even in the Europa League Spots this season. However, Mourinho feels as though a ‘crazy’ build-up of injuries has hindered his ability to improve the club’s results.
Jose Mourinho said “I arrive, we improved, we had good matches, we had good results, The house that we were building collapsed with an absolutely crazy number of injuries that put us in the position where we started the competition after the stop. Everything was crazy. Of course, we try to motivate ourselves during these three months. We try to motivate ourselves to say we can still do it. We are going to have players back. We still can do it, but the reality was we put ourselves, or the injuries put ourselves, in extremely difficult situations.”
