Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp delivered a simple yet impactful message to Divock Origi before his winner against Wolves on Saturday.
Jurgen Klopp said: “It’s great, [Divock Origi’s] a legend. He is a legend. People will write books about him, hopefully. If not then I’ll do it. He’s such a great player, a great guy. It’s a good moment, coming on and contributing like he did today, scoring that goal – outstanding. I’m really, really happy for him.”
Summing up the game, Klopp felt Liverpool were “dominant” and deserved to return to Merseyside with three points.
Jurgen Klopp said: “If you don’t take your chances, it happens pretty often were you go home with one point, or if they use one of their rare counter-attacks, you go home with nothing, which would have been incredibly unfair from our point of view, obviously. This is now the right result, I think. We had the majority of the ball, we were very dominant, we didn’t let them play how they usually play. It was a football-playing side to not really be seen today because we were really at them. So, good game with a great result. That’s it.”
