Leicester City are preparing to travel to Legia Warsaw for their second Europa League group game of the season. Brendan Rodgers currently has a full bill of health going into the squad, in terms of the players he has named in his Europa League squad.
Wesley Fofana
Injury: Broken leg and ankle ligament damage. Fofana suffered the serious injury during the pre-season friendly fixture against Villarreal and is facing six months on the sidelines.
Return date: February 2022 at the earliest
Brendan Rodgers said: “He’s doing very well He’s coming back home and he’s in great spirits. It’s hugely disappointing for him and for us, but he’s had the operation and it’s gone very well. It’s now just all about his recovery. We look forward to seeing him in a few days when he can come in. These injuries can be between four and eight months so we have to wait and see on that. With his ligaments, it will be on the longer side. But it’s still very early. We have most of our players back available now, although some are still short of fitness. The likes of JJ (James Justin) and Wesley Fofana are the only two out at the moment.”
