Brentford’s Sergi Canos has issued a plea to fans to return his ‘very personal’ shinpads after they were mistakenly given away to a fan. The Bees winger was one of the stars for his newly-promoted side as they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw as they face the Reds in the Premier League on Saturday night. Canos swung in the cross which was flicked on by Ivan Toney for Ethan Pinnock’s 27th-minute opener. In a tweet, the Brentford star issued a plea to fans to help him find the shinpads, as he offered to exchange them for ‘boots or shirts instead’.
Sergi Canos wrote: “Guys please I left my shin pads on the touchline and some security guy gave them away to you. They are very personal with my family pictures. Can someone help me find them? I will give you boots or shirts instead.”
One fan may know what’s happened to them, though.
One fan tweeted in reply: “Don’t know if it helps but I think they were given to someone in E115 down the front. Maybe can track that way?”
