Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard has admitted that another goal against Tottenham would be ‘nice’ with the Gunners preparing for the latest instalment of the North London Derby.
Martin Odegaard said: “It’s going to be awesome. It was cool to play last year, but I think it will be something completely different and an extra dimension with the fans in the stands. Only the last match of last season, when we had 10-12,000 fans, we noticed that it was a good stretch, so with the crowd it’s going to be pretty cool. Another goal against Tottenham would be nice.”
Odegaard has, of course, already opened his goalscoring account for the season with his free-kick in the slender victory against Burnley. Whilst the 22-year-old has not yet been an Arsenal player for a full calendar year, he has already pointed to the fact he has a deep understanding of the relationship the Gunners have with their near neighbours.
Martin Odegaard continued: “I do not think that much introduction is really needed. You notice it a lot when you talk to people. There is always something mentioned about Tottenham in a negative sense, so you notice it quickly.”
