Chris Sutton And Alan Shearer Blackburn
Two players received the player of the month award that month and Sutton’s award meant that the famous pair of “SAS” had swept the awards. In July 1994 Sutton had become the most expensive player in English Football when he had moved from Norwich to Blackburn. But a great striking partnership with Shearer quickly made them the best strike force in England.
