Joe Kinnear’s side won two out of the three matches in the month and drew against their London Rivals QPR. After having only picked up seven points from the first five matches of the season, the South London side had kept two clean sheets in their wins over Norwich and Manchester City. At the end of the month, they were fourth on the table tied on points with third placed Aston Villa.
