Norwich manager was happy to hype up the Aston Villa and Manchester United clash insisting that what his side had achieved that season was already remarkable and they never were in the race to win the premier league. The canaries were top of the table for a long time but a poor run of results meant that they were third in the table and only had an outside chance of clinching the title.
Mike Walker said “We’ve always said we’ll have a look at the table at the end of March, We’ve never said we’ll win the championship but we’ve always said we’ll keep In contention. Its been uphill all season except for a few months when we were at the top. It was nice and even then. I don’t think many expected us to challenge the way we have and hopefully, we can carry it on next year. Villa and United still have to come and play us, we will see what happens after that.”
