LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp revealed his side had “a few bumps and bruises” ahead of their clash with Saints. Last season’s champions saw their scheduled clash at Manchester United on Sunday postponed due to fan protests at Old Trafford. Despite their break in fixtures, Klopp revealed he would still have to make “late decisions” regarding his side.
Jurgen Klopp said: “The injury situation, nothing is really new. We have a few bumps and bruises, we have to make late decisions in a few positions.”
The postponement allowed centre-back Nat Phillips another week to get fit and he is likely to return to the side to face Saints. On Phillips,
Jurgen Klopp said: “Yes, the week helped him for sure. Absolutely. He was fit yesterday.”
