Reading prospect Michael Olise has been urged to choose Leeds United over reported interest from other Premier League clubs such as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
Marcelo Bielsa said: “You look at the style of play, the way we bring young players through. The fact that we’ve got a great team ethic, relationship and bond between the players, you can see that. Why would you not want to? It’s about the progression of his career. Right now, I think even if you had two or three years at Leeds, that will be beneficial to him.”
Olise, who played 79 minutes as Reading drew 1-1 at home to QPR yesterday afternoon, has scored five goals so far this Championship campaign – in addition to laying on nine assists. The 19-year-old is one of the most highly-rated young players in the Championship. However, according to former Leeds striker Noel Whelan, there is only place for the Frenchman, capped at under-18 level, to continue his development right now – under Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.
