Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has added his voice to those praising Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo for his incredible £250,000 gesture. Nuno has matched the £250,000 pledged to Wolves’ foundation by the Premier League PFA community fund, a contribution which has allowed the club to undertake a three-year project to tackle hunger across Wolverhampton. Wolves ‘ ‘Feed Our Pack’ initiative will see the club work in tandem with food banks across the city to support those who need it most during the coronavirus pandemic and beyond.

Nuno said: “Wolves fans and the people of Wolverhampton have been fantastic to me since I arrived here almost four years ago, and I wanted to give something back and help the people who are struggling during the pandemic. When you live in a city, you see and hear how people have been affected, but it is also a great city where people help and support each other and this is a really important project from Wolves Foundation. Together we are stronger, and I hope that our supporters will want to join in and make sure we look after those people in our community who need it most during these really difficult times.”

Rashford, who campaigned for free school meals to be provided for vulnerable kids during the summer holidays last year, simply summed up his thoughts on Nuno’s act with the words “Brilliant Nuno”.
