Oleksandr Zinchenko
Oleksandr Zinchenko, the Arsenal full-back, is making his mark at Nottingham Forest during his loan spell this season. Having joined the Reds on deadline day in the summer, Zinchenko’s deal does not include any clauses for a permanent move. However, the Ukrainian international remains focused on his current role at the City Ground.
Zinchenko said: “I don’t know yet, we’ll see. We just need to go step by step and work hard. I feel amazing (at Forest). It is a big club with amazing people around. I really feel I need to give much more to the club.”
Zinchenko’s loan period at Forest has been eventful, with the player sustaining a groin injury during Sean Dyche’s first match in charge against Porto. Despite this setback, Forest secured a 2-0 victory that day and have since experienced a positive shift in their fortunes. Under Dyche, who became the club’s third manager of the season in October, Forest has seen an improvement in results both domestically and in European competitions.
The 29-year-old continued: “It is always better when you have results. Every single time we get some points, we are so excited for the next one. We just need to go step by step and see where we finish. Every single game is very important for us. We are going to give our best to try to get the three points, which is what we want. Every day we work so hard to get our fitness levels to the level they should be at. We all know that in modern football, you have to be fully ready.”
Zinchenko emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum as Forest aims to improve their standing in the Premier League and progress further in European tournaments. With two more matches remaining in their Europa League campaign, the team is striving to secure a top-eight finish to advance directly to the knockout stages.
Zinchenko’s presence has been vital for Forest, and his commitment to the club’s objectives is evident. As the Reds prepare for their upcoming match against Fulham, Zinchenko’s focus remains on delivering strong performances and securing valuable points for his team. His contributions will be crucial as Forest seeks to continue their upward trajectory in both domestic and European competitions.
