Paul Pogba Manchester United
The former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, is on the verge of making a comeback to competitive football after testing positive for a banned substance during his second stint at Juventus. Despite the setback, Pogba has secured a new club at AS Monaco, marking a fresh chapter in his career. Although his return to the pitch has been delayed, AS Monaco is optimistic about his availability shortly after the upcoming international break.
Hutter said: “After the next international break, I think we’ll be able to see him play for AS Monaco. He’s on the right track. It’s taking a little longer than for Ansu (Fati, who arrived on loan from Barcelona), but he’s doing well. He’s a very professional player. I hope to see him again after the next international break.”
Pogba’s anticipated return to action suggests that he may not be ready to face Manchester City in the Champions League on October 1. However, his inclusion in Monaco’s Champions League squad indicates the possibility of him featuring later in the group stages against formidable opponents such as Tottenham, Real Madrid, or Juventus. This strategic move by Monaco reflects their confidence in Pogba’s recovery and potential impact on the team’s European campaign.
The World Cup-winning midfielder recently expressed his emotions during his signing video with Monaco, highlighting the significance of this new chapter in his career.
Pogba said: “It’s true that I was overwhelmed with emotion at that moment. I must say that it’s very rare to see me cry like that, so I hope you enjoyed it. A lot of images that came to mind, in relation to what I went through. But above all, it was a moment of joy!”
As AS Monaco prepares for their upcoming fixture against Auxerre, they aim to secure their first away points of the new season. Pogba’s return would undoubtedly bolster the team’s midfield options and provide a significant boost to their ambitions both domestically and in Europe.
