Chinaza Nwosu
Nottingham Forest have officially announced the acquisition of Chinaza Nwosu, a promising midfielder from West Ham United, to strengthen their academy. The 17-year-old has been recognized as one of the top talents in the country, marking a significant addition to Forest’s youth setup. This signing is part of a broader strategy by the club to enhance their youth ranks this summer.
Craig Mulholland said: “Chinaza is an established England youth international, and it demonstrates the strides the club are making in the emerging talent recruitment space, securing one of the country’s top talents. We will accelerate his learning under Warren (Joyce) and Jody (Caudwell)’s guidance in an excellent games programme, full of variation and challenge, for our B Team.”
The club said: “A versatile central midfielder, who also played as a centre-back last season, Nwosu has been part of the England youth set-up since an early age and made 11 appearances for the U17s in the 2024/25 season. He was a regular for their Under-18s side last season, featuring 17 times for them in the league.”
Fabrizio Romano said: “Nottingham Forest have signed 17 year old talent Chinaza Nwosu from West Ham, chased by many top clubs. Documents set to be signed today.”
Nwosu’s arrival at Nottingham Forest is a testament to the club’s commitment to securing and developing young talent. His versatility on the field, having played both as a central midfielder and a centre-back, adds depth to Forest’s academy. His involvement with the England youth teams further underscores his potential and readiness to take on new challenges.
The signing has been noted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who highlighted the competitive nature of securing Nwosu amidst interest from other top clubs. This move reflects Nottingham Forest’s proactive approach in the transfer market, particularly in the realm of youth recruitment.
As the club continues to invest in its academy, questions arise about the potential for these young talents to break into the first team. The strategic development under experienced guidance promises a bright future for Nwosu and his peers at Nottingham Forest.
