Fabian Hürzeler ‘not really happy’ with performance but applauds win. The manager said that his team “didn’t have enough courage” during the game and were too passive against a spirited Crawley side. But Huerzeler added that, having experienced cup games in Germany, he knows how difficult it is to play against a team with “nothing to lose” and so was happy that his team won regardless. Speaking after the game, he said:
Fabian Hürzeler said “I’m not really happy about the performance and how the game went. I think it was too wide and too many mistakes. We were too shy and didn’t have enough courage and were too passive. But you have to win games like this, tough games like this. I experienced a lot of cup games in Germany and I know how difficult it is to play against a team from a lower league. They have nothing to lose and a lot to win. In the end we are happy about the result and that is why we try to keep improving and try to play better than today.”
