Patience is the key says Manchester United legend Bobby Charlton.
Manchester United fans have been urged by Bobby Charlton to stay patient in the battle for their first championship success since 1967. United legend Charlton said, “The fans have got to be patient and remember we have got to do it together. Everyone remembers we won the championship in 1967, but they forgot we had our problems along the way and it wasn’t all plain sailing, just as it is isn’t today. I must admit we don’t look as if we’re capable of winning the title just at the moment but its only November.” Charlton, now a director at the club, was speaking as members of United’s late 1960s side met in Machester for a video launch of their famous 1968 European Cup final triumph over Benefica.

Was he unhappy at playing Centre back for his manager Brian Clough? There were rumors of both Arsenal and Blackburn Rovers wanting his signature and were ready with an open briefcase of money as well as £5 million of transfer money to Forest. When asked about the same he said, “What do they honestly expect me to say? I’m flattered by the fuss but there’s not a whole lot I can tell them.”
