Erling Haaland has revealed he’ll be celebrating his Premier League record-breaking goal with a light gaming session before heading to bed. Haaland’s goal has grabbed all the headlines though with his stunning chip marking his 35th goal of the league season – he has now scored more goals in a single Premier League campaign than any other player. It’s an incredible achievement, but the Norwegian sensation won’t be going too wild with his celebrations. When asked if he now has his sights set on Dixie Dean’s record of 63 goals,

Erling Haaland said: “No I don’t think of this now. I’m going to sleep on this game and I wake up tomorrow and I think of trying to get three points here against Leeds. It will not be easy with a new manager and everything but we can not keep on thinking about these records, I will become crazy in my head so I don’t think of this. I will go home now and play some video games, eat something and then sleep. That’s what I will do. Then tomorrow we have to start thinking about Leeds, that’s my life. I can not say [what he plays], it’s too embarrassing!”

Haaland was given a special tribute by his teammates and City staff members as they held a guard of honour for him after the game which turned out to be quite a painful as well as joyous experience.

Erling Haaland added: “No, not me either. [seen one like that before] It was a nice feeling as every single goal I score. Especially to win the game is also really important. And it was really painful this guard of honour as you can see there now, everyone hit me on the back so it was really painful but it was a nice feeling and I’m very happy.”
