Scott McTominay has named four youngsters he thinks are currently standing out for Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been keen to utilise the club’s academy system whenever possible during his time in charge at Old Trafford, and McTominay is impressed with the latest group of talent. Mason Greenwood has set the standard for his rise to the first team, while young midfielder James Garner is admired by the senior professionals at the club. Scotland international McTominay has been impressed by the duo but says Di’Shon Bernard and Largie Ramazani also deserve credit for their progress this season.
McTominay said: “There’s a lot. You see Di’Shon, Largie, Jimmy [Garner], you see Mason, obviously, coming in and Mason’s on his way to being established. He’s not quite at that level of being a regular first-teamer, and that’s what Mason has to strive to become. He’s one of the most talented players that I’ve seen for a long time – his left-foot, right-foot shooting is ridiculous.”
