Everton manager Frank Lampard says his side “deserved” their 2-1 win over Leicester City on Sunday as they fight against relegation.
Frank Lampard said: “They all are [emotional games] at the moment, there’s so much on the games. We’re fighting together. It was a tough game and tough opponent but we deserved it. We created chances, rode our luck at times. It’s important to enjoy these moments but there’s a lot of work to do.”

Mason Holgate added: “It doesn’t change what we said before the game, we need to take each game as it comes. We’re in a better position than we were 90 minutes ago. We’ve got to keep going forward and winning games. It’s always going to be difficult way from home, but the courage and belief in the team got the reward. It’s all about winning games at this point in the season. It’s not about individuals at this point, it’s about the team and pushing forward. We’ve done well going forward and defended as a team. Jordan’s [Pickford] made a few big saves and he’s done that in the past few games and we need our big players to step up for us.”
