Wolverhampton Wanderers captain and England international Conor Coady has issued a brave prediction regarding the title race, as he prepares to face both Manchester City and Liverpool in the final games of the Premier League season. There is just a singular point between the two sides at the top of the table and given the huge role Wolves could play, captain Conor Coady has made a bold prediction on what he thinks will happen come the end of the saga.
Conor Coady said: “I hope they don’t both go and win all the games if I’m being honest with you because we’re on there. Manchester City are top of the league, it’s theirs to lose because they’re a point ahead. If you ask anybody now you’d rather be in Manchester City’s position with seven games to go.”
It is a brave statement coming from the former Liverpool player, who spent three years at the club from 2011 to 2014 after emerging from Liverpool’s youth academy. Across the three years, Coady made just two appearances for the first team, with one arriving in the Premier League and the other in the Europa League group stages.
