Brentford manager Thomas Frank believes Leicester City scored two goals from “zero chances” against his side on Sunday afternoon. Timothy Castagne and James Maddison netted long-range efforts as City beat Brentford 2-1 at the King Power Stadium. Both goals flew into the top corner and saw Leicester go 2-1 up. A late goal from Brentford’s Yoane Wissa made it a nervy finish to the match, though City saw it out to pick up three points. Speaking in his post-match press conference, Frank said his side deserved a draw.
Thomas Frank said: “I think Leicester were the better side in the first half. I think we didn’t play with enough edge and aggression under pressure. Also we changed a little bit at half time which helped. I also think we could have done more and moved the ball quicker. That said, we limited Leicester to, in my opinion, zero chances, but they took two good shots and put them into the top corner. Two worldies. So fair play to Maddison and Castagne. Now they’ve done three out of four goals into the top corner and even I know they don’t do that every time they play a match. Second half, I think we were the better side. We were very aggressive, kept the ball well and created chances. If we got our goal a bit earlier then maybe we would have had a better chance to get a point. Over the two halves, that would maybe have been a fair result.”
