Kieran Trippier said: “The experience that I’ve gained, developing into different styles of football and culture. So I think I’ve come back as a more mature player, a more experienced player, and it’s something that I’m very happy that I did, that I experienced everything I went through. I feel that I’ve come back as a more complete player than when I left. I wanted to improve my defending and there was no better manager to go and work for and I feel like I’ve developed as a much better payer from working with him.”
